A few versions of Boys and Girls – such as particular specialty pressings and record club copies – have the front and back images swapped on the album’s jacket. This can be recognized by the barcode’s location on the sleeve. The original pressing (seen below) features Bryan Ferry on the back of the album cover.

Notes

A picture of Bryan Ferry, as well as a poster for “Slave To Love” (the stand-out track from Boys and Girls), can be seen on the opposite wall of Ferris Bueller’s bedroom.

Finding This Item

Although the lower corner of the album where the barcode may be located is hidden behind Ferris’s audio/video equipment, it can be assumed that the copy of Boys and Girls seen in his bedroom is one of the alternate releases with the image of Bryan Ferry on the front. In the scene referenced above, it appears that the opening of the record sleeve is facing outward which means viewers are looking at the front of the album.
