Marketed as an “Electronic Digital Blood Pressure Cuff / Pulse Meter,” the Norelco HC3001 included the main electronic monitor unit as well as the expected upper-arm cuff in a convenient storage case. The HC3001 featured an LCD display, visual and audible indicators, error messages, and auto-shut-off capabilities.

According to the 1986-1987 Houston Jewelry & Distributing catalog, the Norelco HC3001 came with a MSRP of $61.95 but could be purchased closer to the $35-40 range.

While the views of Cameron’s blood pressure monitor in the film show enough that I was fairly confident his was a Norelco HC3001, a promotional still from this scene gives a look at the buttons and brand logo on the face of the monitor – details that confirm this identification.
