Description
Simple Minds is a Scottish rock band best known for their 1985 hit "Don't You (Forget About Me).” The song was written for another John Hughes film — The Breakfast Club — and became a breakout success. "Don't You (Forget About Me)" plays during both the opening and ending credits of the film and the song remains an iconic 80s anthem as well as Simple Minds biggest hit to this day.
The poster seen in Ferris’s bedroom is a promotion for the release of a 7” and 12” record of this song. The promo poster measures approximately 40” x 60” and closely reflects the design on the jacket of this record’s international release.
