Seen in FBDO
In Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Ferris’s baseball glove is best seen at 01:37:08 in the film after he throws the baseball to turn off the snoring effect coming from his bedroom stereo. The baseball glove can be seen on his bedroom floor after the thrown ball comes to rest perfectly in the mitt.

Description
Ferris Bueller’s baseball glove is an SSK DPG-560 model known as “The Catching Machine.” The glove is designed with a patented “dimple process” which, according to the printing on the inside of the glove, is a “revolution for sporting goods.”

Notes
The same glove – or at least one also manufactured by SSK around the time of FBDO – is worn by the boy sitting behind Sloane at Wrigley Field.

Additionally, the glove seen on Ferris’s bedroom floor would be worn on the left hand by a person who is right-handed. As seen when Ferris throws the baseball – and also confirmed by multiple online sources – Matthew Broderick (and, therefore, Ferris Bueller) is left-handed.

Finding This Item
A similar baseball glove was also produced around this time – the USG-90. Visibly, this glove is nearly identical to the DPG-560; however, there are a few distinct differences. First, the DPG-560 displays the red SSK patch over the wrist while the USG-90 has a patch (with the “U&S by SSK” logo, at that) in the area of the glove over the bottom thumb knuckle. U&S was a company owned by Sasaki which ultimately changed its brand name to SSK.
That said, we don’t see this part of the glove at the end of FBDO so this difference does not help us determine which glove was found in Ferris’s bedroom.

The other distinguishing feature between the two is found at the bottom of the glove’s palm area. While the text printed on the DPG-560 is the SSK logo, the USG-90 features a U&S logo.

Zooming in on Ferris’s mitt and rotating the image 90 degrees, the printed SSK logo can be seen. This confirms that, of the two similar gloves, Ferris Bueller owned the SSK DPG-560.
